We're building dominant and compelling assortments in hardware, bath, lighting, textiles and furniture. In this position you will have the opportunity to interact with both Finance and IT to identify process and system improvements, drive change and provide executive visibility in support of both organizations. . This position is responsible for supporting the Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Finance. It requires working in close conjunction with the Home Office Information Technology staff and financial organizations to direct process systems improvements, manage the overall financial portfolio, creation and oversight of all IT projects for the enterprise and to assist with projects to standardize reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis based on established Home Office practices.Summary of essential job functions:Assists with annual budget preparation: Collect and analyze historical data for the budgeting process (payroll, provider production and collections, P&L historical data) Maintain integrity and control totals in budget files Assist in the preparation and maintenance of balance sheet and cash flow budget and analysis Weekly/Monthly Reporting Compiles, analyzes, and distributes weekly and monthly reporting and analyses. Collects, sorts, and analyzes data. Follows up on missing and incorrect data or outliers. Special projects as necessaryRequired Skills: Two to four years related experience required to include: financial reporting, analysis, IT systems implementations, and demonstrated competence with budgeting and fiscal management. Solid understanding of financial statements and their interrelationships Willingness to think independently and ask questions Working knowledge of basic financial and data analysis software such as Excel, Access and Crystal Reports. Ability to learn new software packages as appropriate Ability to communicate, build strong professional relationships and work effectively with all levels of associates from Field staff to Senior Management Ability to manage multiple assignments Ability to work effectively under deadlines and changing priorities Ability to work both independently and as a team member Ability to problem solve and develop creative solutions Ability to treat confidential information appropriately Bachelor degree in Accounting or IT field or equivalent experience required. Masters degree in Accounting or IT preferred. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and other process related skills. Proficiency in project management, ability to facilitate and lead teams, and develop on time efficient systems solutions. Working knowledge of system analysis and diagramming tools such as Visio.
