Job Description 

Prepare monthly financial forecasts, long term financial projections and business plans. Perform financial analysis of monthly operating results. Also spends significant amount of time performing financial analysis work on special projects. Assist in accounting research.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited toWithin basic function, identifies and completes "key operating tasks" which require focus and top priority through the use of action plans. Coordinates and prepares annual business plan including financial statements and supporting documentation. Prepares monthly financial forecasts. Prepares long term financial projections. Assist in product costing during market time and re-costing. Spends considerable time and effort performing financial analysis work on special projects as directed by supervisor. Performs and manages internal audit functions.  Coordinates and prepares internal control documentation and testing.  Responsible for 404 certification compliance. Maintains competitive analysis of the furniture industry and selected manufacturers.  Interprets and communicates results in verbal and written form, to management. Assist in the coordination and preparation of year-end audit schedules. Assist accounting and disclosure research.  Stays abreast of current developments in accounting and prepares accounting issues write-ups and recommendations.

 

Education and/or Experience

·  Individual must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and have at least three (3) to five (5) years of progressive experience in the areas of public accounting and financial reporting and analysis.

·  The ideal candidate will have a background in public accounting and experience with a manufacturing company.

·  CPA preferred.

·  Individual must be able to demonstrate that he or she is highly motivated, creative, of high integrity, and a team player.

·  Advanced Excel skills, robust skills in other Microsoft Office applications and experience in the use of automated ERP, accounting, planning and reporting systems are required.

·  Experience working in cross-functional teams required. Project management experience desirable.
