Typically assignments provide exposure to more complex financial concepts / issues / activities. Develops and/or oversees the preparation of highly detailed and complex analyses and research for financial forecasts and projections.Essential Functions° Functions as financial analyst and key business partner with assigned client group(s) / segment of the organization. ° Conducts financial analysis through the application of advanced and/or specialized accounting / finance principles, concepts, theories and techniques. ° Develops work strategies to achieve desired results and conducts activities with limited supervision. Confers with leadership on unusual issues / situations. ° Coordinates and liaisons within HMI finance. Works with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous process improvements. ° Manages financial area in accordance with GAAP and established HMI guidelines. ° Works independently on complex problems / projects and may act as a lead on very complex projects that are broad in nature (usually requiring originality and ingenuity beyond application of traditional accounting / financial concepts). ° Contacts and networks with both internal and external sources to collect / validate / interpret more complex data, and leads communication of more detailed information. ° May oversee the work of one or two team members; provides professional mentoring to less-experienced team members. ° Continuously increases personal knowledge of the organization and personal business acumen through ongoing learning activities. ° Performs other duties as assigned.Additional Essential Functions° Responsible for the financial reporting of NAOLE Core Work and Field Sales Reporting areas. ° Serves as the Hyperion Field Sales Application administrator. ° Performs sales forecasting process and reporting. ° Supports the regional benchmark reporting process. ° Conducts the sales and marketing expense reporting and the weekly indicator and trend reportingMinimum Requirements° Bachelors degree in Accounting / Finance. ° Three to seven years professional financial experience. ° PC skills in Lotus, Excel, Word and related PC programs/financial software. ° Highly-developed and thorough knowledge and expertise in financial area of specialty. ° Must have well developed interpersonal and communication skills. ° Highly-developed analytical skills necessary to analyze problems and generate new ideas and solutions. ° Demonstrated ability to identify, define and resolve problems / projects / programs. ° Proven ability to accomplish desired objectives / outcomes by influencing individuals at all levels. ° Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment. ° Demonstrated ability to effectively lead crossl-functional teams and manage projects.Additional Requirements° Expert knowledge of Excel and Visual Basic Applications. ° Five to eight years of system experience on Financial Application Software (Hyperion, BaaN, Oracle a plus).Apply online at www.hermanmiller.com/careersDon’t miss your chance to experience the unique opportunities and benefits this company has to offer!
