Financial Analyst

We are looking for a self motivated individual with the desire to be a part of a growing company to step into the role of Financial Analyst Qualified candidate will be a detailed oriented person that can take on challenging assignments, and be involved in a lot of projects affecting the operations of the company.



Responsibilities:



Complete the operating budget month end close process, validate P&L data, create and load accurate office overhead rates into the PM system, coordinating necessary transfer of information between other Finance systems (G/L, PMA) and confirming all data is accurate and complete.



Prepare and distribute monthly management reports to subsidiary and corporate offices, tying out all reports, and maintaining accurate distribution lists.



Maintain the budget system, coordinating upgrades and production issues with the Technology department.



Coordinate new office setup, maintains changes in office status within the system. Maintains list of system users and license availability. Update the system with organizational structure changes.



Understand the company’s methodology in order to make necessary changes for organizational structure changes.



Assist in the annual and quarterly operating budget preparation for all subsidiaries.



Provide technical support of budget worksheets to budget contacts during the budget preparation process.



Update the budget system with annual parameters, budget constants, etc.



Support office leaders with expense and budget questions.



Assist in consolidating subsidiary and office budget results.



Support management reporting requirements, participating in management requests for data, ad-hoc analyses and external industry surveys, as required.



Reconcile information from various sources to ensure data integrity and accurate reporting.



Prepare and maintain documentation for all budget department processes and procedures, schedules of events, timing of expenses, etc. Analyze existing processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement.



Assist in the monthly budget and actual comparison analysis of corporate and firm wide offices, validating actual data by reviewing expenses and contacting office leaders.





Requirements:



B.S. in Accounting



Proven ability to analyze financial data



Excellent interpersonal and goal-setting skills



Strong technical aptitude



Operating budget experience is required



Experience with budget vs. actual variance analysis



Hyperion experience is desirable, but other budget software experience will be considered along with the individual’s background and experience



Working knowledge of the Essbase system



Good organization and communication skills, ability to multitask



Willing to accept additional responsibilities, and be accountable to owning their work assignments



Willingness to commit to and own a month end close process and system administrator function (approx 15-20% of the total job requirements)



Adapt to deadlines change and be flexibility with your schedules, as there are routine deadlines (m/e close and reporting), but also other last minute priorities.





Salary: $50,000 - $70,000
