Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst’s primary focus is to provide project and budgetary analysis support to regional offices, working directly with the VP, Finance Director and CFO.  This is an entry to mid level position suitable for a highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, service-focused individual.  We’re looking for someone who will bring intellectual curiosity, determination and creativity to his/her work.



Key Accountabilities: 

Quarterly and Annual Budgeting ProcessOwn the budget process, working with local office leadership and the VP, Finance DirectorOwn the sales projection reports, working with local office leadership and the VP, Finance DirectorTrack and analyze office expensesProvide financial data necessary for leaders to make informed decisionsProvide monthly P&L variance analysisProvide biweekly flash forecasts to office budgetsProvide ad hoc reporting and analysis

 

Assist regional account teams with project financesTrack and monitor submitted project budgets (budgets vs. actuals)Prepare job cost reports for projectsReconcile job budgets, with help of account team members

 

Special ProjectsAssist VP, Finance and CFO with preparation of quarterly budget review meetingsDevelop business development pipeline reporting toolsAssist CFO with monthly finance reports to parent company

 

Requirements:BA/BS degree, preferably in finance or accountingAt least one (1) year experience in project accounting or financial analysis (strong internship experience considered); 2-3 years of experience preferredExtreme proficiency in Microsoft Excel requiredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word, Lotus Notes, Powerpoint and Adobe Acrobat desirableWorking knowledge of financial reporting systems; Hyperion Pillar preferred.Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)High degree of discretion and confidentiality absolutely required
