This S&P 500 company is a self-administered REIT that, together with its consolidated subsidiaries -Invests primarily in real estate serving the healthcare industry in the United States.  The corporate offices are located in Southern California with an operating division in Nashville, Tennessee.  The Nashville office is responsible for the overall operations and reporting of the medical office building portfolio, including capital asset management and construction oversight. As of December 31, 2007 the company’s  portfolio of properties, excluding assets held for sale but including mortgage loans and properties owned by unconsolidated joint ventures, totaled 753 properties among the following segments: 275 senior housing, 105 life science, 269 medical office, 41 hospital and 63 skilled nursing. Position Responsibilities:

· Participates in the annual and quarterly update of capital and operating budget process

· Provides detailed variance analysis on plan vs. actuals. Provide summary of variance to VP of FP&A.

· Analyzes and reviews all prospective investments to ensure that each transaction achieves the company’s overall investment objectives

· Assists VP of FP&A and investment banks with performing strategic analyses.

· Performs as required corporate level analyses

· Collaborates with accounting, treasury, acquisition and asset management departments in developing operating and capital budgets. Position Qualifications- Required Competencies

· Must have high degree of understanding of the key principals of corporate finance and solid understanding of GAAP accounting

· Excellence in Microsoft Excel proficiency; experience with Enterprise Software Budgeting Systems

· Ability to multi-task and set priorities on strict deadlines

Education/Experience requested:

Bachelor’s degree required with 5-7 years of real estate portfolio
