Financial Analyst / Business Operations Analyst

These units provide professional services in a variety of areas, including drug development/clinical research (CRO); international health development: designing and implementing public health and social programs in developing countries; domestic public health services: laboratory sciences, epidemiology, health communications, disease surveillance, peer review, and information technology.We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst to support our Global Drug Development unit. Key responsibilities include: Perform project tracking responsibilities including actuals to budget monitoring, Gross Margin trending and hours/FTE forecasting. Work closely with contracts group, project set up group and Operations Groups (PMs, clinical, biometrics and data management) to develop and maintain project financial forecasting tools. Assist with Project Plan Set up, update forecasts, and maintain project information in forecasting system Update contract values and trigger invoices on unitized contracts Assist in Training of project teams Assist with resolving system/reporting issues Ad hoc analysis for PM and client as requested Analyst work in a project based environment is required. Experience in a CRO strongly preferred BS degree required (preferrably in Accounting or Finance or related education), and 2 to 3 years experience with project forecasting, revenue recognition, cost analysis strongly preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. International Project Finance or experience working with multiple currencies preferred Extensive experience with complex modeling in MS Excel; and experience with enterprise financial systems and experience with Deltek s Cost Point and Enterprise Planner strongly preferred Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multiple teams and multiple level of management Familiarity with contract administration and interpretation. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and ability to multitask. Ability to present financial information and concepts to co workers, project teams and Sr. Management.
