Financial Analyst - Sales & Marketing

Financial Analyst for the Sales & Marketing department of a mid-sized company in the NW Suburbs of Chicago.  The position is ideal for a person with a Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of experience. 

This position will create reports, work with customers, compile sales forecasts and present to management. 

Improves sales by tracking and analyzing marketing, sales, advertising, and sales promotion data.

Duties:

* Analyzes sales results by tracking sales, advertising, and sales promotions; categorizing data; preparing summaries of sales volume and percentage of market.

* Prepares marketing proposals by gathering information from sales representatives; consolidating and integrating strategies; assembling supporting materials.

* Maintains sales quality results by monitoring quality checks and adherence to call standards.

* Improves competitive position by researching and updating market data and sales statistics.

* Provides sales materials by maintaining reference library of market-specific product descriptions and proposal materials.

* Provides management information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

* Accomplishes marketing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

Some college, but ideally a Bachelor's degree. 

1-2 years of experience in Financial Analysis or Budgeting

Preference for experience working for a company that sells to Big Box retailers such as Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot, etc.

Ability to work independantly with minimal supervision and be easy going.
