Financial Analyst - perfect for those looking to transfer out of general accounting

We are in need of a qualified Accounting professional who is ready to take the next step into an Analyst position.  The position is with a medium sized, publicly traded company headquartered in Cleveland with locations nationwide.  The job will involve budgeting, forecasting, and heavy variance analysis.

 

The Staff Financial Analyst will also be responsible for the following:Creating financial reports that accurately reflect forecasts, budgets, and other planning measures Reviewing and analyzing actual versus budgeted amounts Tracking and analyzing capital expenditures Creating weekly profit and loss reports (P&L's) and presenting them to management Ensuring the accurate completion of the month-end close process

The Staff Financial Analyst must possess the following minimum requirements:A recently obtained bachelor's degree in Accounting, coupled with a GPA of at least 3.0 2-3 years of experience as a Staff / Senior Accountant with medium to large firm (public accounting experience is a plus) Solid general accounting experience (month end close, account reconciliations, financial statement preparations, etc.) Some exposure to forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting Fluent in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Oracle is a huge plus Superior written and oral communications skillsThis company offers excellent salary and benefits and is a leader in their industry.
