WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Financial Planning Analyst will perform both routine and ad hoc financial reporting and analysis of merchandising and direct marketing operational programs. This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity to develop strong financial and operational analysis skills within a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

 

· Prepare daily and weekly sales reporting and complete routine monthly reporting requirements.

 

·Assist Planning & Analysis group with various month-end reporting, including sales mix reports, Internet marketing cost analysis and other reports as needed.

 

·Prepare and present Catalog P&L results, including variance to plan & forecast.

 

·Assist with monthly forecast update process, including preparation, consolidation and analysis of monthly departmental expense results.

 

· Assist with preparation of annual business plan and capital budget; work with Accounting Group to ensure consistency between budgeted and actual reporting.

 

·Assist FP&A Manager and Sr. Analyst with Ad Hoc financial analysis projects and reports as required.

 

 

Position Requirements:

 

Bachelor degree in Business, Finance or Accounting required.

 

·0-2 years experience; experience in financial analysis, business planning and forecasting a plus, but not required.

 

· Knowledge of general business practices to conduct variance analyses.

·Must have excellent Excel skills, including report formatting and presentation.

· Strong written and oral communication skills; highly detailed and inquisitive; must be a self-starter and fast learner with the ability to work equally well independently and as part of a team.
