SENIOR FINANCIAL REPORTING ANALYST WANTED! An excellent Senior Financial Reporting Analyst with a globally respected company. The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will become an integral part of our Corporate Accounting team.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for providing accurate and reliable financial information to Top Level Management, Department Heads and other individuals within the organization that rely on this information to make informed decisions.
The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for preparing monthly and quarterly reports to provide management with projected year-end results. Determine significant variances from budget and provide explanations.
The position is responsible for the extraction of data from various data sources, creating reports for distribution and analyzing the data to ensure its accuracy and completeness. The position is also responsible for validating and testing data/reports, identifying missing/erroneous information, disparities/inconsistencies between reports/data as well as validating the accuracy and consistency of the data with stated business rules.

Specific Responsibilities:Assume a leadership role to provide reliable, meaningful, and accurate financial information to the organizationEnsure the accuracy of financial information being distributed. Work effectively with applicable departments to reconcile differences. Establish ongoing quality control processes to ensure consistent and accurate reportsCollaborate and work effectively with other departments including Sales, Design, Finance/Accounting, Corporate Development and Information Services to establish reporting standards and define effective business rules for accurate and consistent reporting.Support a sales reporting infrastructure by maintaining sales information and by creating reports to assist in business performance analysis.Define, design, develop, prepare, and distribute reports and queries in a timely and responsive manner.Streamline the reporting process and identify opportunities for efficiencies as deemed necessary.Assist other Finance departments worldwide in creating or maintaining their reporting infrastructure.Keep abreast of changes in BCBG’s business as it affects the reporting infrastructureAnalyze data to ensure accurate information and to provide value-added feedbackParticipate in department and corporate projects as it relates to the implementation of financial reporting applications; participation includes design, development and implementationPerform annual performance appraisal reviews, if applicable
Qualifications:3+ years performing financial reportingBA/BS in Accounting Finance or Related FieldAs you will be communicating with all levels of management and staff on a regular basis, you must posses excellent diplomatic skills and speak with confidence regarding technical accounting/financial issuesMust have exposure to businesses/industries that carry significant inventoryCPA would be a huge plusMust be pro active and inquisitive as to read and analyze current and pending FASB regulationsSOX Compliance experience is a huge plusIdeal candidates will either have major CPA firm experience or large company experienceRetail experience is a plus, as would experience in a Technology firm, Consumer Products firm, Restaurant holding company. Professional experience within companies that operate in a multi site, multi state model would be a plus.
