Financial Reporting Manager

Financial Reporting Manager, Finance Department. Responsible for managing the accounting and reporting functions, including the monthly close process, reviewing financials and supporting workpapers, preparation and review of financial statement analysis and direct supervision of the financial reporting staff. Direct monthly close process ensuring accuracy and timely preparation of the Company’s financial statements. Review the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including the annual audited financials with footnote disclosures. Prepare and review Balance Sheet financial analysis providing explanations of variances to prior periods. Maintain and improve reporting processes and controls providing for increased efficiency and for compliance with SOX and corporate controls. Interface with external auditors and business units throughout the company and participate in special projects to ensure that financial accounting, regulatory reporting and company wide reporting issues are properly identified and addressed in a timely manner. Assist in accounting for mergers and acquisitions. Research and implement new GAAP and statutory reporting requirements. Create and maintain adequate and appropriate procedural documentation, as well as maintaining and improving financial accounting processes. Direct supervision of professional financial reporting staff, including hiring, training, goal setting, and performance reviews. BA/BS in Accounting required, CPA or CMA required. Minimum of two years of public accounting experience preferred, and at least two years of  corporate accounting experience required. Understanding of GAAP reporting requirements. Strong analytical, organization, communication, and technical skills. Strong leadership abilities. Ability to research accounting issues independently and communicate conclusions effectively in both oral and written means. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
