' Apply knowledge of business functions, processes and strategies to provide services, solutions and advice ' Identify and implement new pronouncements to client situations ' Supervise, direct and review the results of the audit ' Supervise and train staff and seniors ' Be the main client contact for questions and information ' Resolve complex accounting and auditing issues ' Apply GAAP, SEC standards and GAAS consistently in complex situations ' Draft complex financial statements and disclosures ' Apply your experience and knowledge of business processes by making suggestions to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures ' Develop and maintain ongoing business relationships with client personnel and management team ' Responsible for business development and marketing ' Responsible for engagement profitability including billings and collections ' Responsible for staff development ' Four-year degree in Accounting ' Passed CPA exam ' Experience auditing hedge fund, broker/dealer and investment advisor ' 5 + years prior work experience (preferably in public accounting firm) ' Significant supervisory experience ' Ability to use various assurance applications and research tools ' Proven verbal and written communication skills Company:  BDO Seidman, LLP Location:  New York, NY 10017 Job Category:  Accounting/Finance/Insurance Company:  BDO Seidman, LLP Reference Code:  bdo-00000042 Please note that only those individuals whose qualifications match our current needs will be considered applicants and will receive responses from BDO.
