Financial Services Tax Manager

Job Description

Work with some of the best and brightest professionals in the financial services arena and network with top executives at the nation’s largest financial services companies.

This position provides tax expertise to clients on consulting and compliance projects, as well as the opportunity to work with a variety of clients e.g. insurance, regulated investment companies, hedge and private equity funds, real estate, and banking.

Develop leadership skills while working on staff development by mentoring staff during day-to-day interaction and through formal staff development programs. This is a skill that all top tax executives must have to be successful if they plan on moving up the ladder in their career. As a Tax Manager you will advise companies on federal tax issues in both the planning and compliance areas. Work directly with Partners and Directors on many accounts, and be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships.

Education:
BA/B.S. Accounting; MST preferred

Essential Requirements: Bachelors degree, CPA or admitted to practice law required Advanced degree a plus 6 years + overall tax experience with an emphasis in the Financial Services industry FAS 109 experience preferred Previous public accounting experience preferred but not required Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of management High level of energy, desire to grow as a tax professional
