Huntsman has an immediate opening for a Fixed Asset Accountant in our Accounting Shared Services Division located at our Huntsman Advanced Technology Center in The Woodlands, Texas.
The incumbent is responsible for CAPEX reporting for 11 companies on the Titan Platform. The incumbent will ensure that all transactions are recorded and reported in compliance with US GAAP and Huntsman Accounting Policies to the published timetable. The incumbent is responsible for all capital reporting requirements for Titan as specified by global, corporate and local management. This includes Fixed Asset Reporting for the filing of Income tax, consolidation reporting for cash flow purposes, and non-Finance business reporting requirements. Other key elements of the role include delivery of the teams’ quarterly Audit requirements, maintaining SOX compliance and general accounting processes.
Key Accountabilities:Reports to the Senior Financial Reporting Accountant. Incumbent will be responsible for ensuring all tasks for Fixed Assets are completed in accordance with the published timetable. This includes month end reporting, capitalization of projects, additions, retirements, depreciation and reconciliations of accounts. The issuance of Capital reports and working closely with the CAPEX Coordinators is a key part of the role and therefore excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving are essential to be successful in this role.The role requires the use of SAP, TM1, and GMISAudit – Support the Manager of General Accounting in fulfilling all quarterly and annual audit requirements, including the preparation and review of all PBC schedules for the Accounting teamSOX Compliance – Support the Manager of General Accounting in the implementation, testing and maintaining of internal controls as required by SOX
Education/ExperienceBachelors Degree in Accounting is required. Internal associates with the relevant years of experience and skill requirements may be considered in lieu of a degree5 – 7 years financial accounting experience required
Special Skills Requirements and QualificationsGMIS a plus.SAP-Fl and CO Modules required.Fixed Asset experience required.Excellent writing and communication skills
