Foreign Accounts Receivable Specialist

Join the Knobbe Martens team!  We are seeking a team-oriented Foreign A/R Specialist to interface with clients and attorneys, and collect past due receivables. This position requires the ability to work overtime, which often cannot be predicted in advance.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Assist with collections process.

1.1.  Correspond with Foreign Associates and keep files updated with results.

1.2.  Keep partners informed of the accounts receivable status of their clients through A/R Committee meetings as well as the use of reports, e-mails and phone calls.

 

2. Assist with coding and entering daily wire payments.

 

3. Attend Accounts Receivable Committee meetings to discuss individual partners’ problem clients, as needed.

 

4. Research accounts with credit balances.

 

5. Assist Collections Administrator, Controller with various projects as requested.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

1. Ability to be assertive while projecting a caring attitude towards our clients.

2. General knowledge of accounting with ability to analyze and organize in a high volume environment.

3. Must have excellent problem solving skills, and be able to prioritize to achieve results.

4. Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with attorneys, staff and clients through written and verbal correspondence.

5. Ability to operate office machines including 10-key, personal computer, fax, typewriter and photocopier.

6. Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.

7. Ability to accurately type 5,800 keystrokes per hour.

 

Education and Experience:

Prior experience in handling credit and collections along with relevant computer experience is preferred.
