Fortune 500 Company looking for Accountants
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Efficiently and accurately analyzes information, and collects and cross-references supporting documentation to prepare accounting schedules, documents, reports and/or journal entries. Prepares variance analyses and projections. Reconciles account activity and resolves discrepancies. Interprets and monitors corporate compliance with GAAP/Regulatory/State and Federal requirements. Attests to the accuracy of Revenue recorded in Company records.
Creates, updates and controls contents of accounting system files. Verifies system integrity and audits accuracy of system data. Stays informed on technological advances and seeks systems solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Establishes proper retention requirements for system data.
Interfaces in a variety of forums to obtain or to provide financial/accounting information. Provides revenue information (written or oral) as requested; prepares reports for internal and external auditors, various governmental agencies and other outside organizations. Works effectively with customers and clients to deliver products that exceed their expectations.
Anticipates, investigates, and analyzes emerging accounting, tax, and regulatory issues and problems and provides appropriate and timely recommendations; researches corporate policies and develops appropriate recommendations. Understands and anticipates clients’ needs and proactively finds solutions or provides information.
Participates in and leads project teams involved in the design, development, testing and implementation of automated systems, reengineering of processes, and implementation of new requirements.
Stays abreast of industry and business issues and understands and applies this knowledge in current activities.
Must demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the Company’s Ethics and Compliance Code of Conduct, and other Company policies and procedures, and take all required training courses.
Must demonstrate respect for all individuals and adhere to the Company’s values and business practices.
Education:
A four (4) year degree from an accredited college or university. Bachelor of Science or Business Administration degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. CPA certification or MBA or working toward CPA certification or MBA a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of five years of experience with increasing levels of responsibility in accounting, finance or other related business field. SAP and Business Warehouse (BW) experience a plus.

· Experienced in the operation of personal computers and Windows-based software.

· Knowledge of company tariffs and contracts.
· Demonstrates high degree of customer and internal client orientation.
