Full Charge Bookkeeper needed for Small Company

Employee Benefits company seeking qualified bookkeeper to oversee the books and all financial aspects of the business.  This individual will also work closely with the office manager and assist in running the office when needed.

 

Position Qualifications:

*  Position Qualifications: BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related major

*  4-5 years of accounting experience

*  All general ledger responsibilities

*  Preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements

*  Reconciliation of all significant accounts

*  Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable

*  Bank Reconciliations

*  Updating bookkeeping software accounts on a daily basis

*  10-key by touch

*  Experience and capability in QuickBooks

*  Strong analytical skills

*  Strong computer skills- MS Excel

*  Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills

*  Must be able to recognize problems and be proactive in finding solutions

*  Must be well-organized, responsive and have great follow-through on assignments

*  Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality

*  Positive can-do attitude

* Team Player

 

Position Responsibilities:

·  Closing of monthly financial books

·  Accounts Payable

·  Reconcile General Ledger accounts

·  Maintain accuracy of financial reports

·  Prepare monthly financial reports

·  Create and maintain budget

·  Reconcile bank statements

·  Prepare audit schedules as required by accountant for closing out the year

·  Conduct audits

·  Cover for office manager when out of the office
