Job Title: Fund Accountant

Job Summary:

 

This position is primarily responsible for processing periodic (monthly) financial statements for multiple Hedge Funds and Fund of Hedge Funds, and performing daily reconciliations of investment transactions. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills is required.  This position will also assist management with internal control procedure implementation under SAS 70.


Job Responsibilities: Prepare monthly financial statements, which includes processing of: Daily investment transactionsDaily cash and portfolio reconciliations;Capital subscription and redemption activityIncome and expense accrualsCalculation of partner/shareholder allocations, including incentive and management fees Verify month end market prices for all open positionsResearch of accounting and tax issuesImplementation of internal controls under SAS 70 documented proceduresAssist client auditors and advisorsOther ad hoc requests as needed

Job Qualification Requirements: Bachelors degree in accounting or finance1-3 years of relevant financial industry accounting experience CPA designation a plusPublic Accounting audit experience is a plusWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel and WordStrong aptitude for detail and accuracyExcellent organizational skills
