Fund Accountant, Financial Reporting

Spectrum Global Fund Administration is currently looking for a Fund Accountant, Financial Reporting for their Columbus, OH location. 

 

Responsibilities / Duties:

Assist in the preparation of partnership/fund accounting and financial reporting for hedge funds. Responsible for the initial preparation of daily, weekly and monthly Net Asset Value calculations for multiple funds.  Assist in the preparation of complete month end reporting packages and other deliverables for stand alone funds as well as more complex master/feeder structures, which includes but is not limited to preparing  – All accruals (portfolio and non-portfolio related) Partner/shareholder income allocation calculations Calculation of management and incentive fees Standardized reporting packages



 



Job Requirements:

 

The successful candidate is extremely detailed oriented and focused, and possesses the ability to make judgments on when to escalate issues for discussion and resolution.  The candidate will have excellent communication skills as discussions with the Seniors and Managers is often necessary.

Must have the ability and desire to – Develop a basic knowledge of assigned client base to maintain a high level of client service Develop a basic knowledge of the hedge fund industry, particularly accounting methods used for income allocations, management and incentive fee calculations Understand client expectations in conjunction with the Seniors and Managers Demonstrate experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in a deadline oriented environment Be flexible and negotiate ever changing priorities Demonstrate problem solving skills Develop and maintain effective communication networks and working relationships internally and externally Work independently with minimal direction and collaboratively in a team environment Meet new challenges with an open mind and an optimistic response

 

As this is a deadline driven position, overtime is occasionally required.

 

A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 2 years of related experience required, preferably in hedge fund or mutual fund accounting.  A CPA is highly desirable.
