GENERAL ACCOUNTANT

SweetWorks Inc. is seeking a General Accountant who provides financial information to the organization; summarizes current financial status; reconciles discrepancies; complies with legal requirements; protects organization's assets by maintaining appropriate controls. Specific duties as follows: Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles Preparation and analysis of monthly and tertiary financial statements Responsible for reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis Reconciliation of all bank statements on a monthly basis Reviews, investigates and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports Maintains daily cash/line of credit transaction and related reporting Back-up for Credit Manager Works with Controller and Financial Analyst in preparation of annual and quarterly forecasts Collects appropriate data and prepares monthly sales tax returns Special projects and analysis as directed

Qualifications

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

PC experience in Windows environments. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software.

Manages time effectively and prioritizes completing tasks to meet deadlines.

Separates facts from opinions and remains objective when listening to conflicting opinions.

Exhibits meticulous attention to detail. Is committed to producing accurate and high-quality work.

Competently analyzes and prioritizes information to make appropriate recommendations.

Skilled in working with corporate finance and accounting systems, analyzing information, and recommending adjustments.

Familiarity with the applicable Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (SFAS) rules for this industry.

Ability to meet deadlines, set priorities.

Maintains focus on accomplishing desired results.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.

Driver's license.
