RESPONSIBILITIESThis position works with business representatives, analysts and team members to utilize processes and requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. The primary goal of the Lead Programmer Analyst is to work on assignments analyzing business processes and/or creating system architecture designs. This position conducts feasibility, analysis and designs. They author documentation, create system and program specifications, and may code and debug programs and develop/execute tests and/or test plans. The Lead Programmer Analyst will be working in a progressive, fast moving development environment. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated ability to lead technical staff in financial development projects. The Lead Programmer Analyst will have experience in the following technical areas: UNIX, Oracle RDBMS, C#, VB.NET, All-fusion-GEN. Experience with financial applications such as Computron, CODA and Oracle Financial applications is a plus. ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES· Works independently on project task work and/or acts on the behalf of the project leader when needed. · Interacts with all project team members, all support groups, vendors, suppliers, all function/user reps, upper management, industry leaders, consultants, and customers.· Consults, creates and executes project plans with business representatives, business analysts, architects and team members. · Develops project plan timelines, identifies resource needs and manages workflow to meet project timeframes and project status reports. · Provides buy vs. build recommendations. Advises on system options, risks, costs versus benefits and impacts on business processes and goals. · Works closely with architects and/or project leaders to align all systems with IT long-term strategy. · Analyzes existing applications to identify weaknesses and develops opportunities for improvements. · Interprets business requirements. Devises or modifies applications to solve problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and integration of components. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE· Knowledge of multiple technical environments and possesses an increased high level of cross-functional business knowledge. · Extensive knowledge of the area’s functions/systems and application programming development technological alternatives. · Expert level knowledge of advanced programming techniques, application and systems design. · An advanced knowledge of the key processes in the business as well as knowledge of the business rules that impact development and/or implementation of information systems. · Advanced knowledge of the quality techniques, methodologies and tools required to improve business technical processes, productivity and cost containment. SKILLS· Ability to communicate orally and in writing with both technical and non-technical staff. · Expert level to think critically and anticipate problems and develop solutions in a timely manner. · Ability to thoroughly investigate and research multiple sources. · An advanced ability to identify risks and barriers through quantification and analyze how to avoid them. · Expert planning, organizing, decision-making and problem-solving skills. Relevant experience of 8-10+ years in systems analysis and application programming development.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Do you have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science/related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience?
