Healthcare Financial Analyst

General Summary / Overview Statement:

The Financial Analyst, as a member of the Financial Operations & Analytics Team, will be primarily responsible for timely, accurate financial reporting and analysis to all stakeholders.  The Analyst will achieve consensus with team, develop and implement recommendations and follows through with action plan.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

 Researches and analyzes financial and utilization data for internal and external clientsImplements action plans and recommendationsCreates, organizes, and maintains files using database and spreadsheet programs Retrieves and organizes data into required reporting formatsCollects, retrieves and organizes data to identify financial discrepancies and resolve client inquiries Presents reports and educates users, including education Ad hoc reporting for parties such as practice managers and Compass senior management.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

·  Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Health Care Administration, or related field

·  1 to 3 years of experience, preferably in a health care finance environment

·  Computer proficiency including expertise using MS Access and MS Excel

·  Demonstrated ability to interpret data, communicate findings and recommendations  in a meaningful way

·  Strong analytical and communication skills
