Hedge fund accountant

A midsize hedge fund located in NYC is seeking an experienced professional who will be responsible for providing all accounting functions and working closely with the senior management of the firm. 

 

Job responsibilities:

Manage NAV calculation process for private equity and hedge funds;

Produce investors’ and management reporting;

Communicate with investors and participate in their due diligence process;

Participate in audit, tax and regulatory filing processes;

Participate in portfolio valuations and risk management process.

 

The candidate should have 2 – 5 of relevant work experience in hedge and/or private equity fund accounting.  Knowledge of financial statements preparation and tax allocation is a plus. The ideal candidate must have the ability to multi-task, work under deadline pressures, and possess excellent analytical and communication skills.
