Interim CFO

We are currently seeking CFO level candidates with CPA & MBA backgrounds who can work on an interim basis with several of our clients in and round the Tampa Bay area. The Interim CFO is responsible for financial forecasting, planning and analysis. Utilize strong accounting, finance and technical systems skills to effectively interact with Executive Management, to build a transparent financial plan. Direct a financial modeling team and oversee the 5-year, annual and monthly business processes and systems used for preparing and summarizing forecast GAAP financial statements. Manage the forecasting for all major "what if- scenarios for sound financial planning, resource planning and investment decision-making.

Responsible for daily management activities, includes process management and improvements (accountabilities, procedures, performance standards and monitoring), and department staffing needs (hiring/firing, developing, motivating, coaching/counseling, providing work assignments and direction, and performance management for employees). Create and maintain a professional work environment that encourages growth opportunities.

Key Accountabilities:

Serves as the primary owner of monthly analysis and forecasting processes. Lead the annual effort for preparing an updated base financial forecast and the monthly process of updating the current year forecast based on a combination of actual and forecasted information. Transparency and data integrity are critical to reliability and acceptance by external customers. Utilize a combination of strong technical systems knowledge and broad functional knowledge to assimilate highly complex data to deliver accurate and timely financial information. Produces financial updates to Finance, Board of Directors, and Manager of Operations to enable more informed decision-making. Responsible for the preparation of financial packages (i.e. monthly, quarterly, annually). Manages and performs ad-hoc analysis and special projects, including reforecasting.

Skills:Able to lead the completion of complex financial models in support of unique transactions such as acquisitions, divestitures, concessions and joint venturesUtilizes multiple methods of analysis, cost accounts analysis, budgeting and forecasting to a standard that can be upheld upon peer reviewAdvanced knowledge of corporate accounting and reportingStrong technical systems and project management skillsCoordination/communication experience with senior business and financial leaders is requiredStrong technical systems knowledge combined with a broad functional knowledge is required



Knowledge:Excellent understanding and technical expertise in planning /accounting/finance, including US GAAP and International Accounting StandardsExcellent business understanding and personal credibility with business managersApplies a comprehensive knowledge of analysis techniques to new and unusual activities10 years accounting related job experience with emphasis on planning and reporting. Extensive experience in performing financial statement audits including a review of internal controls for SEC. Performed internal control testing including section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. Prepared the financial statements including all GAAP disclosures.Primary contact for external auditors for both financial statements and 401(k).Bachelor's degree accounting or finance. MBA or certification.Responsible for preparing, reviewing and tie-out of all 10-Q and 10-K filings.
