Internal Audit Intern

Purpose of the role

 

To provide project support to the Corporate Internal Audit team relating to projects, compliance, and analysis.  Internship may span over various areas of Finance, Tax and Accounting.

 Core Accountabilities

Assist in the planning and execution of internal audit engagements.

Assist with external audit assignments, ensuring cooperative working relationships with external auditors.

Participate in the development and design of new information system applications to ensure adequate internal controls and security are implemented.

Perform reviews and investigate specific problems on an emergency basis. 

Communicate effectively will all levels of the organization.

Maintain an awareness of audit trends.

Perform other duties and required,

Cross train in other areas of Finance and/or Tax as time permits.

§ Coursework toward degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree

§ Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

§ Strong attention to detail, sense of urgency and organizational skills.

§ Ability to work with minimal supervision.

§ Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

§ GPA of 3.0 or higher.

§ Available to work varying hours, at times over 40 hours per week.
