Internal Audit Manager - Pasadena, CA (E)
Kaiser Permanente is seeking an Internal Audit Manager for our Pasadena, CA location. This position requires one of the following certifications: CPA, CIA, CISA. This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, managing and conducting various and diverse operational and financial integrated audits, reviews and special projects as assigned. This position also plays a significant role in performing strategic assessments of operational and financial issues and risks, and formulating the annual audit plan for one or more designated core competency area(s) of expertise as defined by Internal Audit Services (IAS) senior management. This position serves as an internal expert resource in their designated core competency area(s), and is responsible for establishing and maintaining collaborative and consultative relationships with key operational management customers.Major Responsibilities:- Establishes program-wide annual audit plan for designated areas as assigned.- Manages planning, scheduling, and supervision of assigned audit projects in accordance with audit plan, project budgets, and milestones ensuring that appropriate audit tools, techniques, processes and procedures are utilized, followed and complied with, including proper support and documentation of objectives and findings in the work papers, and the maintenance of the risk assessment database.- Acts as key liaison with senior management to coordinate internal audit activities in their region/function/department.- Ensures preparation of accurate and timely formal written reports, and in consultation with IAS staff makes oral presentations to management on findings and recommendations for corrective action. - Serves as a resource to program-wide IAS staff in designated core competency area(s) of expertise and promote the sharing of best practices across the Program. Networks and participates in industry-related and/or professional associations.- Conducts research on technical matters relating to core competency area(s) of expertise.- Maintains detailed current knowledge of operating department structure, personnel and activities in designated core competency area(s) of expertise. Maintains and updates risk assessment database. - Prepares and conducts technical training for IAS staff in designated core competency area(s) of expertise.Minimum Requirements:- 7+ years auditing or comparable experience - Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience- One of following certifications: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
