Provides a full range of financial, compliance, and operational audits, as well as internal control and business advisory consultation to senior management, officers and the Board Audit Committee.Plans, organizes and manages all internal auditing activities; Develops detailed audit plans and programs; Determines the operations and departments to be audited and the audit frequencies; Coordinates audit activities with external auditors; Prepares comprehensive written reports; Provides reports to management on asset utilization and audit results; Prepares forward pricing reate schedules; Liaison with DCAA and other agencies during audits of policies, procedures and internal controls relative to management and systems. Evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls; Performs office audits as requested to assess internal controls and as part of office peer reviews; Ensures company compliance with cost accounting standard administration; Provides guidance to company staff related to federal contract cost principles and procedures as well as FAR and CAS.Qualifications7 - 8 years of progressively responsible accounting experience required. Experience in auditing service or engineering companies is preferred. 1-2 years supervisory/management experience in a company of similar or larger size preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and GASB; Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley. Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Oracle experience preferred.
