Position Purpose: In accordance with established general office policies, procedures, and standards, Bank policies and procedures, and applicable local and state laws and regulations, the Internal Auditor develops, maintains, and executes audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, accuracy of financial records, compliance with applicable regulations and efficiency of operations, including applicable FDICIA requirements. This position maintains a database to ensure that all action items are completed in a timely and efficient manner, and coordinates activities with external and contract audits and regulatory examinations. Also assists in preparing and presenting in-house training programs.* Attends in-house, seminars, and conferences to maintain and improve technical and professional competence through continuing education.* Assists the Director of Audit Services in preparing materials for the Audit Committee meeting. QualificationsEducation: * Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or other related discipline. Required Knowledge:* Sound understanding of personal computer and mainframe concepts and systems and applications. * Working knowledge of bank operational policies and procedures, and related state and federal banking compliance regulations.
