·Safeguards corporate assets
·Provides verification of compliance in all aspects
·Assesses the reliability, consistency, integrity, and security of financial and operating information
·Supplies consultation to executive level management in an effort to improve business operations
·Guides the implementation of audit recommendations
·Evaluates audit findings and provides recommendations in the form of oral and written communications
·Ascertains the reliability and integrity of financial information along with compliance of regulation standards
·Participates in various audits of accounting records of contractors regarding agreements where the Company is a party of interest
·Participates in fraud investigations
Qualifications:·BA/BS degree in Accounting.
·Minimum of two years recent audit experience.
·Strong business knowledge and analytical skills.
·SOX experience a plus
·Visio knowledge
·Microsoft Office proficiency
·Spreadsheet skills in order to quantify and illustrate routine financial reports, comparisons, impacts and/or projections
·Ability to work effectively in diverse groups
·Ability to accurately document work in progress and effectively communicate accounting information
·Aptitude to analyze and solve problems.
·Availability to travel as required up to 10% including international travel up to three weeks in duration.
·CPA (certified public accountant), CIA (certified internal auditor), or Big 4 CPA firm experience are a plus.
