Our client is a publicly traded company that is experiencing incredible growth.  Over the last three years, their stock prices have risen significantly.  Their success is based upon an excellent market in addition to great leadership.  In addition, they have a strong balance sheet.  Within their field, they are considered a leading engineering and construction company.  They offer flex time which gives their employees every other Friday off.  This equates to another 26 days of vacation. They are seeking currently seeking an Internal Controls Manager.

 

Job Description: 

Manage ongoing documentation and testing requirements under Section 302 and Section 404 of the Sarbanes Oxley Act.

 

Assist external auditors in planning and directing assistance work for their audit of the Company’s internal controls over financial reporting.

 

Assist management in defining and identifying entity-wide scope requirements for significant accounts, locations, business processes, and controls.

 

Assist managers planning and performing internal controls assessments on a concurrent basis in various financial, and information technology areas.

 

Oversees and supports remediation efforts of identified control deficiencies.

 

Assist with special projects that are assigned to the department.

 

Job Requirements: 

BS or MBA in Accounting or Business

CPA/CIA

 

5 plus years of public accounting, corporate internal audit and/or Section 404/302 experience.  Excellent understanding of external and internal auditing as well as GAAP and demonstrated experience in dealing with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance activities.
