It ranks among the largest privately owned companies in the world and offers great benefits and a wonderful retirement plan.Company is extremely stable and has wonderful long-term opportunity!  This position would be a great fit for a public tax accountant due to the multiple companies in this corporation.  This is a multinational corporation with over 36 billion in assets.  Light travel - around two weeks a year.General Summary: This position is responsible for the preparation of federal and state income tax returns, to assist with the day to day requirements of general tax compliance, audits and planning, to assist with preparation of the federal tax provision, and to assist with international tax issues. This position will interact with subsidiary companies and is expected to provide outstanding client service.Main Responsibilities-Preparation of federal and state corporate income/franchise tax returns, including extensions and estimated payment calculations-Assist with preparation of the federal tax provision -Prepare appropriate workpapers and other support to properly document return positions-Investigate and resolve tax inquiries/correspondence from tax agencies, assist with tax audits-Research various items to determine correct tax treatment and the most favorable position for the company -Assist with tax planning projects-Assist with special projects, including international tax issuesJob Requirements/Experience: -College Degree in Accounting; Advanced Degree preferred-Minimum 5 years of experience in a corporate tax department or public accounting firm-CPA-Demonstrated competence in research, analysis and application of tax law-Knowledge of FAS 109 and FIN 48-Experience with RIA InSource software-High level of organizational skills and ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects at a time and meet multiple deadlines-Ability to work independently as well as part of a small group-Strong computer skills; must be proficient in Excel and Word-Strong verbal and written communication skills
