International Portfolio Accountant / Mutual Funds to 55K+bonus

Founded in the early 1990's, my client, one of the best kept secrets in the portfolio management business, is a registered investment advisor managing approximately $25 Billion in assets; currently managing $3 Billion in international assets.  They provide investment management services for institutional as well as individual clients including corporate pension plans, endowments, foundations, trusts and unions.  Currently they are seeking to hire an INTERNATIONAL PORTFOLIO ACCOUNTANT TO JOIN THEIR TEAM.

Duties include:

· Daily checks and coordination of trade instructions and settlement of foreign trades. Work with trading, custodians and brokers to resolve any differences.

· Portfolio Accounting & Reconciliation –Manual and automated daily and monthly reconciliations from on-line printed or mailed statements.

· Monthly and quarterly reporting and general client service via InData Portfolio Accounting System.  Special reporting for certain clients including Monthly Compliance reporting for Mutual Funds.

· Assist with the organization/preparation/mailing of quarterly reports/billing and annual tax reports.

· Preparation of reports for client meetings.

· Opening and Closing Accounts – obtain and review documentation.

· New account documentation to various brokers and banks.

· Processing and checking of Corporate Actions

· Assist with the organization and implementation of proxy voting.

· Assist in preparation of reports/materials for Class Actions

· Ad Hoc requests

Background & Qualifications:

1-2 years of relevant work experience desired(INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE IS A BIG+.


College degree required.


Should have experience with a portfolio accounting system (InData, Advent, Checkfree/APL (non-wrap), Portia, etc.) 


Excellent attention to detail, communication, computer, organizational and prioritizing skills a must for this varied position.


Experience with international trading, SWIFT and local market regulations is preferred. 


Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel required. Experience with a CRM database a plus.
