Investment Advisory Manager

Overview

The Investment Advisory Manager position consists of both new business development and providing a full range of personal financial planning services, including trusts and estates services, to high net worth clients. This person will manage multiple and challenging financial planning engagements and to contribute to the delivery of innovative tax planning ideas for our diverse clients

 ResponsibilitiesActively identify and pursue opportunities for new business Work closely with clients to examine key areas of their financial plans, including cash flow, retirement planning, investment planning, insurance analysis, income tax planning, and estate and gift tax planning servicesThoroughly and accurately analyze information, prepare practical and creative solutions to client’s financial situationManage, develop and mentor staff Assist with practice development and contribute to department’s internal operations and proceduresOther responsibilities as necessary

 Experience/Skills/Education

Bachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (an advanced degree in tax or law is highly desirable)

A minimum of 8 years of financial planning and/or related consulting experience including new business development experience, required

A demonstrated track record of successfully attracting new clients and expanding services to existing clients required

A CFP strongly preferred; CPA, MBA, MST, JD or related designation(s) a strong plus

Excellent presentation, oral, written and interpersonal skills required

Solid knowledge of investment and insurance products and services.

Experience directing, leading and developing junior staff required

Strong estate planning and compliance experience strongly preferred

3-5 years of experience in asset allocation and working with diverse portfolios

Experience with separately managed accounts in the field

Ability to provide exceptional service to family clients
