Investment Banking Associate
P&M Corporate Finance, LLC (“PMCF”) is the investment banking division of Plante & Moran, LLC, the nation’s 13th largest accounting and professional services firm headquartered in Southfield, Michigan. PMCF serves as the investment banking group offering merger and acquisition advisory services to middle market clients. PMCF has approximately 25 bankers in the group, making it one of the largest middle market focused investment banks in the Midwest.
The PMCF Associate will be responsible for oversight and accuracy of Analyst duties, including review of modeling, research methodology, and deal wrap up activities. Writes significant portions of Offering Memorandum, pitches and management presentations, and/or oversees the development of such documents. Expanded assignments to include: involvement in strategic discussions surrounding the transaction, establishing buyer research criteria and profiles, preparing documents for various parties, participating in valuation development and analysis, managing some consulting projects or smaller deals.
Assists in planning the approach and writing sections of the selling document, including the outline, format and presentation. May be involved in writing other areas including, investment highlights, business description, industry and growth opportunities.
Conducts and edits buyer research information received from Analysts; insures information is complete and organized. May be involved in completing some research independent of Analysts. Initiates some calls and correspondence to interested buyers; completes necessary follow-up.
Prepares and/or assists in preparation and/or review of valuation analysis to insure information is accurate (historical data, formulas) and preparation of more complicated models.
Acts as point person for information requests from client; participates in negotiations of confidentiality agreements, and other documents used in the transaction. Develops presentation content for management review, and may present at meeting; fields calls from clients, attorneys and other individuals involved in transaction process. Responsible for “client ready” deliverables.
Assists with strategy development, identification of issues and solutions, deal execution and documentation.
