Junior Accountant

Sofft Shoe Company has been dedicated to offering women fine handmade comfort footwear since 1927.

 

Job Purpose:

Assist the finance team in the timely preparation and analysis of the monthly financials for two companies.

 

Responsibilities:

*Enter journal entries

*Run ledger reports and assist in account reconciliations and analysis

*Review inter-company transactions, assist in the preparation of inter-company invoices, and resolve differences

*Review expense reports to insure employees are adhering to policies and submit for payment

 

*Accounts Payable - assist the a/p employee in vouchering invoices and processing the weekly check run

 

*Accounts Receivable - process customer returns and run A/R reports

 

*Inventory - update standard costs

 

*Assist with special projects

*Meet deadlines in a fast paced environment

*Strong communication and organizational skills

 

Qualifications:

General Math Skills, Excel, Associates Degree or higher, 2 - 3 years practical Accounting experience, Deadline-Oriented, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Thoroughness

 

Full time position
