Lead Accountant

Position available: Lead Accountant (full time)

 

Starting salary will be based on experience and skill level.  Salary will include benefits.

 

A large non-profit organization based in downtown Los Angeles is seeking a self-motivated person with at least five years of experience in accounting, a degree in accounting, knowledge of basic accounting software (such as Excel, Quickbooks, Great Plains), and an ability to supervise self and work with others.  Experience with non-profits, labor unions or government regulated industries a plus.

 

Duties include managing accounts and cash flow, tracking and managing assets, coding and approving invoices, reviewing check registers, reviewing and approving building expenses, data entry into accounting systems, data entry into Excel schedules, preparing various internal reports and preparing and filing various government reports.

 Finalists will be subject to an extensive background check prior to final selection.
