General Responsibilities:

§  Total responsibility for the Accounts Receivable Department

- Invoicing, payment processing and collections

- Maintain positive team environment for staff of 4 to 6

- Monitor and report Department metrics

- Interacts with all areas of the company, as well as with government personnel to resolve funding and/or payment issues

 

§  Position also performs general accounting functions

- Customer account analysis and reconciliations

- Revenue and related expense accruals

- Preparation of periodic operational and/or governmental reporting

- Ad hoc reports and analysis as requested

 

Qualifications:

§  Previous government contract billing experience

§  Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills

§  Excellent communication skills – both oral and written

§ Customer-driven team player committed to developing and maintaining partnerships and strong working relationships with other departments

§ Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work effectively independently or in a team environment.

§  MUST THRIVE ON A FAST PACE!!

§  Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Advanced Excel user)

§  Experience with Oracle software and Discoverer report writer a definite plus.

 

Minimum Requirements:

§  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

§  3 to 6 years of general accounting

§  2 to 3 years of Accounts Receivable/Billing

§  At least one year of previous supervisory experience
