MANAGER, US PAYROLL PROCESSING & ACCOUNTING

DESCRIPTION:

 

Key member of Delphi’s Finance Team, responsible for partnering with Human Resources and Information Technology to manage Delphi’s payroll and timekeeping system and process in the US.

Develop and execute strategy to transition payroll services from current outsourced provider to in-sourced managed model; establish transition team and detailed transition plan; perform cost analysis and develop business case, seek management approval of strategy, and track performance to plan
Identify and select vendor or vendors to provide payroll services and timekeeping platform to support in-sourced managed model
Establish best practices for payroll Processing and Timekeeping and develop Payroll Accounting Team to support US payroll for hourly and salary employee base (approximately 40,000 employees paid)
Develop transition plan in conjunction with third party services provider selection and engage in-house stakeholders to ensure quality transition
Establish change management processes and identify training requirements and support as needed
Develop and implement process and service improvement opportunities
Develop metrics to measure and monitor service performance to drive continuous improvement; Document and maintain current workflow

REQUIRED:

15 years experience in managing a payroll organization supporting large union/salary based population
10 years experience in Finance/Accounting
Strong Accounting Background
Solid Analytical Skills
Experienced Manager and ability to provide quality customer service
Practical experience with managing a third party payroll provider and associated vendors
Certified Payroll Professional

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree - Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
Master Degree / MBA highly desirable
