Manager - Capital Planning

The Manager, Capital Planning for Store Planning and Real Estate works closely with the Director of Financial Planning to develop and establish broad business plans, strategies and policies that significantly improve the profitability of the Store Planning/Real Estate function.

 

§ Conducts financial analysis, planning, forecasting, capital budgeting, decision-support, reporting.

 

§ Maintains an effective internal control environment.

 

§ Manages all capital expenditures for the company including the planning, reporting and ROI analysis of all capital projects. 

 

§ Works with the Director of Financial Planning to develop realistic plan for the Store Planning/Real Estate Department that results in a set of actions that provide improved shareholder value.

 

§ This plan should include store maintenance expenses, departmental overhead expenses, and capital expenditures.

 

§ Conducts financial analysis to help improve decision-making. This includes the use of any or all of the following analytical techniques: modeling, situation analysis, problem diagnosis, capital budgeting and results/operations analysis. 

 

§ Conducts financial analysis and acts as advisor for the business decision regarding occupancy lease renewal, store closing, new store opening, and capital investment.

 

§ Develops and maintains the process for tracking project cost including accurate and detail budgeting for capital and expenses for new store openings, FSR/store remodel, and capital investment projects. 

 

§ Develops and maintains effective internal control standards.

§ Ad-hoc projects as requested

 Requirements

§ Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance

§ MBA preferred

§ 7-8 years of experience in finance and capital management

§ Ability to interact with many facets of the organization.

§ Advance knowledge of financial, accounting theory and financial and statistical modeling techniques.

§ Strong managerial, planning, organization and project management skills.

§ Ability to apply various financial skills and knowledge to solve business problems and enhance decision-making.
