Manager, Contract Administration

Impax Laboratories, Inc. is a technology based specialty Pharmaceutical company applying its formulation expertise and drug delivery technology to the development of controlled-release and specialty generics in addition to the development of branded products.

 

Job Summary:  The Manager will lead a team of contract administrators within our Sales Operations organization. The contract administrators are responsible for processing rebates and administrative fees for payment and adjudicating chargebacks.

 

The team is also responsible for analyzing and reporting contract performance, presenting strategies to grow sales and market share to account team and management, and effectively communicating the terms of our contracts to our customers

 

Responsibilities:The Manager will develop and manage efficient contract management capabilities which ensure accurate and timely determination of customer discount payments. Oversee the loading of detailed contract specific data into CARS including contract master data, pricing, rebates and administrative fees.Manage overall on-going contract maintenance including amendments, contract commitments and eligibility, rebate/admin fee settlements.Maintain a complete understanding of contract requirements to ensure all relevant contract administrative obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner.Performs various customer assessment, value of contracting, pricing analysis, market share analyses. Responsible for the timely analysis of data from internal and external databases. Develops advanced and innovative modeling tools to assist Sales in communicating the value of contracting with external customers. The Manager must exercise appropriate judgment regarding business and legal issues to determine appropriate actions, with particular emphasis on financial and operational risks. In many situations, this position will represent the company with the customer on contracts involving simple to moderate transactions.Assists the Internal audit team to conduct periodic contract compliance reviews.Primarily responsible for resolution of contract disputes.Guide and implement the revenue management system tools as defined in the corporate sales operations process to ensure accurate and timely contract loading, invoice accuracy and processing of rebate settlements.  Works closely with Accounting/Finance to ensure processes are robust, controllable and tied to corporate goals.Champion critical Sales Operations process initiatives designed to increase productivity, customer satisfaction and quality, while decreasing process cycle time, overall cost and business risk.The position has direct reporting responsibility to the Hiring Director and manages one to four exempt employees.

Requirements:

·  Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.

·  Minimum of 3 years in the pharmaceutical industry, or within some area of marketing, sales, or managed care with an emphasis on contract management.

·  Experience with pharmaceutical contracting techniques and processes highly desirable.  Proficiency in the definition and analysis of marketing problems and in the use of quantitative techniques

·  Highly motivated, experienced individual with strong technical, analytical and leadership competencies to work effectively in a sales organization and lead a team of high-performing contract administrators.

·  Candidate should have prior experience in managing professional staff with a proven ability to deliver efficient, high quality performance.  Must be detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills and have extensive experience in implementing and leveraging contract management solutions.

·  Advanced skills in MS-Excel, MS-Access, Cognos, and contract management systems required.  Past experience should include 4-6 years in Accounting/Finance, Sales Operations, Customer Service and/or Contract Management functions.
