Job Responsibilities:

 

The primary responsibilities of this position will include preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budgets for the company’s Corporate IT function (annual spend of approximately $50 million), as well as review of actual results. This position reports directly to the Director of Financial Reporting with matrix reporting to the Chief Information Officer.

 

Principle Accountabilities:Responsible for all Financial processes, including Budget, Forecast, Actuals and ad hoc analyses, as well as communications of the process and the timeline, for the Corporate IT function. Also responsible for monitoring invoice review process. Maximize financial and operational analytical transparency by preparing analytical reviews of forecasted results versus plan targets for Corporate IT department. Assist with review of monthly Departmental Reports and communicate updates and review notes to Functional Accounting. Work closely with IT Vice Presidents and Directors to analyze, understand and communicate department expenses in order to more accurately forecast results. Work closely with Functional Accounting and Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis. Support and assist Functional Accounting in the allocation of corporate IT expenses to operating divisions. Develop capital expenditure process (including capital leases) for obtaining proper approvals and monitoring project progress (i.e. expenditure tracking, budget-to-actual comparisons, estimates to complete). This includes attending IT departmental meetings to understand each project and its status. Partner with Human Resources to ensure Corporate IT personnel are coded to proper departments. Develop a process for monitoring intercompany chargebacks (including frequency, appropriateness and completeness of charges). Focus on cost reduction, eliminate non-value added activities and automate or streamline processes to accommodate higher levels of throughput while maintaining quality. Assist in Corporate IT balance sheet accruals, determining best practices as well as coordination between IT and Functional Accounting. Improve overall Corporate IT financial processes and ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Partner with Corporate and Company leadership in support of strategic goals and initiatives. 

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Minimum 5-8 years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience including financial reporting and analysis, forecasting, budgeting and general accounting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of requirements related to internal controls & financial reporting as outlined in the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Experience with Oracle 11i, Hyperion Enterprise, Hyperion Retrieve, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
