Manager, Financial Operations

Coventry has an immediate opening for a Manager of Financial Operations supporting the Information Technology division at our Corporate Headquarters in Bethesda, MD.GENERAL SUMMARY Monitors the operational and financial performance of Coventry's Information Technology Division. Performs thorough analyses of business results and makes recommendations to IT's senior staff. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Financial Analysis: Analyze business operations to determine financial impacts. Evaluate budget performance, expenditures and operational effectiveness. Analyze costs and determine impacts to free cash. Bring inconsistencies and problems to the attention of management. Budgeting and Forecasting: Partner with IT teams to determine business needs and develop operating and capital budgets. Analyze and summarize strategic initiatives and recommendations for financial plans. Financial Reporting: Create monthly variance reports, analyze trends and reports financial results to IT senior management. Provide insight into the financial performance of key business area and cost drivers. Performs special projects and other duties as required. Promote a team environment. Recruit, develop and motivate staff. Initiate and communicate a variety of personnel actions including employment, termination, performance reviews, salary reviews and disciplinary action. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Master's degree or CPA preferred. 7 years + finance work experience - Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and policies governing hardware and software capitalization. Proficient with database software and Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
