This individual will be responsible for providing financial analysis and modeling to a broad range of international strategic planning and business development initiatives. The successful candidate will in time have the opportunity to assume responsibility to take a leadership role in these initiatives.

 

National Basketball Association is a premier sports league and is aggressively expending internationally. The candidate will help to drive its international efforts and must be able to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and matrix environment.

 Major Responsibilities

• Provide detailed financial analysis and heavy modeling support to a broad range of international strategic initiatives including:

·  Development of business case assumptions

·  Development of financial model

·  Scenario / Sensitivity analysis

·  Business case NPV / ROI

·  Deal structuring / modeling

• Develop operational and business analytics.

• Collaborate with cross functional business teams to identify analysis requirements and develop assumptions.

• Communicate and present analyses to management and cross functional teams.

• Support Finance and International Business Development teams with ad-hoc financial analysis.

 

Required Skills/Knowledge:

• Heavy Excel financial modeling experience a must.

• Strong research and presentation skills, with attention to detail.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

• Experience working in a dynamic, matrix environment, preferably in a global company.

• Documented history of success in professional setting.

• Strong teamwork, task prioritization, and problem-solving skills are essential.

 

Experience Needed:

• Minimum of 3-4 years relevant business experience.

• Prior consulting or investment banking experience strongly preferred.

• Prior sports, media, entertainment and/or international experience a plus.

 

Educational Background Required:

• BA/BS Degree

• MBA would be a plus
