Manager - SEC Practice

Overview:At Virchow, Krause and Company, LLP is a dynamic and progressive accounting and consulting firm with a superior reputation. Due to our extraordinary growth, we are seeking an experience, resourceful, and motivated Manager for our SEC Practice in our Downtown Chicago office.

Virchow Krause works with more than 150 publicly-traded companies in the Midwest, ranging in size from $1 million to multi-billion in annual revenues, and currently audits more than 30 SEC reporting companies and assists them with quarterly filings. We also specialize in assisting SEC registrants with a wide variety of filings, tax, risk, consulting, internal audit, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance services.

Responsibilities:As a Manager in our SEC practice, you will be expected to:

-Provide excellent client service through effectively directing all phases of planning and administration for multiple SEC engagements, resulting in quality products and services for clients
-Develop effective SEC risk strategies for a variety of clients
-Impact the development of high caliber staff by providing effective training and development activities, addressing personnel issues and providing constructive review and feedback.
-Enhance your professional development through participation and taking a leadership role in relevant internal and external organizations including accepting opportunities to represent Virchow Krause and the profession at speaking engagements, appointments and internal assignments.

Qualifications:

-CPA
-Bachelor’s degree in accounting
-8 – 15 years of well rounded experience working in public accounting/audit experience or work experience in a financial position of a publicly traded company or a combination of both
-Current working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
-Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
-Persistence and the ability to work effectively as a member of a team
-Outstanding business ethics, integrity and impartiality
-Strong analytical, research, problem solving and project management skills
