Manager Transformation Programs

Mgr Transformation Programs

 

Under the direction of the VP of  Transformation the incumbent is responsible for the timely delivery of transformational contractual agreements with NiSource service providers.  The incumbent provides project direction, management and technical perspective on the development, implementation and measurement of transformational business solutions within defined functional areas.

 

The incumbent actively leads the Transformation Program team to provide, guidance, input, review and direction for the transformation project plan; b) conducts research, gathers data, and prepares technology architecture plans that ensure solution viability; c) develops an issue management and escalation process; d) proactively monitors status of projects and drives execution of quality deliverables  e) develops position templates and escalation forms to enable quick and efficient resolution; f) identifies barriers to success and develops and deploys effective mitigation efforts.

 

The incumbent actively leads service provider(s) and project teams to: a) engage impacted employees in solution development; b) manage executive stakeholder expectations; c) ensures business unit alignment with the transformation solution d) act as liaison and communication conduit between his/her assigned functional area and the Transformation Specialist and service provider to ensure solution integration and synchronization; and e) drives the integrated project planning process.

 

Execution:

 Design and implement transformation business solutions

 Manages the execution of the project plan

 Assigns accountability for delivery of project assignments and team deliverables

 Monitors metrics to measure individual, team and project progress

 Assigns development of remediation plans to ensure milestone achievement

 Partners with team members and service providers to achieve short - and longer-term technical, tactical and project goals

 Listens effectively and communicates clearly for timely flow of accurate information and data

Stakeholder Relationships:

 Develops and cultivates partnering relationships with all constituents and internal customers

 Works collaboratively with service provider and team to proactively resolve issues

 

Required for Selection:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent work-related experience in IT, Engineering, or Project Management and demonstrated technical/functional competencies

• Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience working as a team member in the delivery of complex technology system implementations

• Experience with IT applications systems and IT infrastructure

• Experience working with external vendors

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain proactive working relationships

• Knowledge of project management tools (i.e. MS Project, Primavera, etc.)

• Experience directing and leading multifunctional, multi-level teams – in both formal and informal reporting structures

 

Preferred for Selection:

• MBA

• Five (5) to seven (7) years of highly relevant experience as team lead in the delivery of highly-complex, technology-based, multi-site transformational business solutions

• Demonstrated change management experience

• Experience building successful relationships with internal customers, service providers, executives, peers and team members, partnering with multiple service providers and outsourced vendors

• In-depth understanding of PC based applications, proprietary software applications, web technology, and real-time systems;
