Manager Transportation Program FundingAs the primary transportation agency for Orange County, the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) provides efficient transportation programs and services for the county.  Our responsibilities extend to all forms of transportation including extensive bus and paratransit service, Metrolink commuter rail service in Orange County, planned future rail, freeways, streets and road improvement projects, motorist services and regulating taxi operations. In this position you would administer technical studies that analyze transportation issues within Orange County. You would develop and proposes solutions to transportation issues in accordance with the goals and objectives adopted by the Board of Directors. Performs complex analysis of transportation issues. Develops scopes of work and projects budgets, evaluates competitive projects proposals and makes recommendations. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with California Department of Transportation, local governments, private industry, the public, and outside agencies to enhance the company's reputation and to further the goals and objectives of the company. Knowledge of principles and techniques related to transportation funding and planning; local/state/federal transportation processes; California Department of Transportation Project Development Procedures; transportation issues in Orange County and surrounding areas. Proficiency with computer applications including Access. Must have ability to coordinate work and manage staff and consultants; analyze, interpret and direct projects; and skills to develop consensus with individuals and groups. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in public/business administration or related field.  Five to eight years of progressively responsible planning experience.  Three years of previous management experience is desirable.   Apply online at http://www.octa.net/careers.aspx or visit our Employment Office, 550 S.
