Manager of Technical Accounting, Roseland, NJ



 

Our client is a top Notch Banking firm who is looking for a Manager of Technical Accounting.  The ideal candidate would be responsible for all implementations of new FASB pronouncements for all legal entities in the United States. You will lead the efforts of the group to ensure compliance with all applicable US accounting guidance.  In addition, the individual will be responsible for applying best practices in the completion of all financial statements for any stand alone audits performed.  This will involve participating in and leading efforts to improve communication and reporting between various global areas.

 

The Manager of Accounting Compliance and Controls will be responsible for maintaining all Financial Control accounting policies and procedures.

 

The individual will also work as a liaison between Financial Control Unit and Internal Audit to ensure all audit points and issues are addressed and rectified. 

 

Experience>8 years of banking or financial services experience with a history of increasing responsibility In depth knowledge of FASB pronouncements Understanding of IFRS (international) accounting standards CPA is preferred Understanding of financial products and the accounting for complex financial instruments Understanding of SEC and FRB regulations and how they impact (or can be impacted by) accounting rules.
