Manager of Accounting (Corporate) -- Direct Hire

SummaryThe Accounting Manager will be responsible for the management of the general ledger financial close process and the supervision, leadership and development of the general ledger team. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES· Manage the month end general ledger financial close cycle, including full SOX compliance required close processes· Ensure all general ledger accounts are reconciled to supporting detail on a monthly or quarterly basis and reconciling items cleared on a timely basis. · Maintain sufficient documentation that all transactions are recorded and supported in the general ledger and appropriate subledgers on a periodic basis; maintain checklists to ensure all scheduled entries are accounted for during the close process. · Communication with multiple levels in the organization of operating results for their respective areas. · Review account balances, transactions and reconciliations prepared by staff and ensure account analysis is performed to understand significant accounts and ensure accounting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.· Assist team members in prioritization of work on a day-to-day basis and during peak periods · Manage preparation of quarterly and yearly audit schedules· Participate with other Finance groups to implement and maintain best practice accounting processes· Direct responsibility for leadership and development of team members, including a focus on individual performance and development, timely coaching and feedback, implementation of motivational initiatives, and effective application of rewards and/or discipline· Participate with other Finance groups to implement and maintain best accounting processes   REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES· Minimum 5-7 years of GAAP accounting experience· Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience· Four-year college degree with accounting major required· CPA preferred· Strong skills with Microsoft Excel (Advanced), Access, Word.  · Experience with Epicor and FRx preferred· Must have excellent problem-solving skills utilizing available resources· Ability to identify, qualify and prioritize activities · Excellent oral and written communications skills· Must be self-motivating, hard working, analytical and proactive · Must be able to work well with individuals at all levels, inside and outside the organization· Flexibility to work overtime Job Information Job Title: Manager of Accounting (Corporate) -- Direct Hire Company: RealPage Inc Location: Carrollton/ Plano, TX Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Accounting/Finance/Insurance Contact Information Company: RealPage Inc
