Manager of Internal Controls

Leading national corporation located in Nashville TN desires a Manager of Internal Controls. Reporting to the Director of Internal Audit, this person would be responsible for managing Sarbanes Oxley compliance initiatives, and reviewing, evaluating, and designing internal controls. This challenging position would play a key role in a growing company and would interact with all levels of personnel including the senior executive team.

 Essential functions include:
• Manage Sarbanes Oxley compliance initiatives and related projects
• Develop strategies to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley
• Supervise teams and participate in staff development
• Review, document, evaluate, and design internal control processes
• Document policies and procedures for internal controls

Education/Experience requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting required; CPA, CIA, or CISA preferred
• 7+ years of experience with Big 4, or large regional CPA firm, in an audit capacity or relevant industry experience
• Recent experience with implementing Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements
• Internal audit/internal controls experience with large organizations strongly preferred ($1+ billion in revenues)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent leadership and strong project management skills needed
• Some travel required but minimal
